Dear Sir, Madam,
Sabuj Mancha, a platform of organizations and people concerned for environment, is organizing “A Round Table on West Bengal Environment Future”. The objective of the summit will be to discuss, deliberate, document and decide on the road map regarding key environmental issues across West Bengal in presence of Civil Society, Experts and Politicians. The Round Table will deal with following aspects:
- In view of the resolutions adopted at the meeting held on Nov 22, 2015 organized by us for due consideration of all stakeholders involved in climate negotiation in Paris Conference of Parties, Sri jayanta Basu will share his experience especially on our demand about Sundarbans vulnerability part.
- To discuss the alarming situation of air pollution in Kolkata and suburbs.
- Civil Society activists, Environment Experts and Politicians will discuss regarding overall Environment scenario of West Bengal so that the political parties confer due emphasis in their Election Manifesto for ensuing Assembly Election as well as in the Environment Policy of our new Government.
